BEHIND THE MUSIC OF
LIV PARKER
Liv Parker has always been musically gifted and has a strong drive to continue to learn new ways of writing. From a young age, she was performing, and playing a variety of instruments. Parker is a vocalist, drummer, pianist and guitarist. She has played in multiple ensembles and continues to perform as lead vocalist and pianist in her jazz band Violet Street. Within her band, she performs alongside drummer Mitchell Hardaker and trumpeter/guitarist Tom Peggie. As a trio, they adapt songs and place a jazz twist on them. Violet Street also write their own music with strong rhythmic elements creating a lively sound.
Liv Parker has recently delved into the space of game music where she has created and composed music for the game Chookies Quest. Parker has extensive knowledge in gaming software’s such as Twine, Wwise and Unity. With these tools, Parker has been able to branch out to gaming companies and offer her talent in game composition. Additionally, Liv has a broad understanding with working in Logic Pro and Sibelius; furthering her flexibility to work in different composing environments.
Currently working as a conductor at Manly West Primary School, Parker also teaches piano and drums. She is a passionate teacher who focuses on developing musical skills and expressivity.
